The Audix D2 is a great microphone for toms, snare, or percussion.
It's got a sharp, punchy sound, and is very robust.
The clamp and gooseneck combination helps you get the mic into the perfect position. Clip-on mics mean a much less cluttered stage and make it easier to get the direct sound of the drum.
