A classic, large diaphragm, condenser microphone, often used as an announcer's mic in radio studios, but has many other uses. Works well in bass drums for a classic well rounded sound. Great on brass, especially trombone.
The mic has a deep, full bodied sound but doesn't exhibit "proximity effect" so the tone stays more consistent with distance.
The RE20 is a great "all round" mic. We've used it for some events where there is a succession of singers using the same mic, since it's easy to get a good sound from almost any voice with it.
